As a tribute to Aspire Defence Capital Works (ADCW) for their continued support of the Warminster Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), the traditional end of term horse ride was set to music recently …and not to just any music either. This time, as an acknowledgement to ADCW who have been redeveloping the Warminster Garrison under the MOD’s Project Allenby/Connaught, the musical theme was appropriately enough, ‘Bob the Builder’.
The children had great fun performing the routine for their ADCW guests and were dressed in hi-vis clothing, gloves and glasses donated by the organisation, and wore riding hats covered with white silks to look like the hard hats worn on construction sites.
ADCW’s latest donation came from the proceeds from raffle tickets sold at a recent social evening. Belinda Bishop from the charity said, “The Warminster RDA are delighted to receive this cheque for £769.92 which comes at an opportune time for us as we recently had to retire one of our older ponies and are currently looking for a replacement. This contribution will go a long way towards financing that replacement.”
