Aspire Defence Capital Works’ project team at Warminster celebrates five years of RIDDOR-free working
Aspire Defence has recently chalked up the incredible achievement of working five years at its construction site at Warminster without a single RIDDOR.
Aspire Defence is delivering the MOD’s 35-year infrastructure project, Allenby/Connaught, which includes an eight-year construction programme to redevelop four Army garrisons at Aldershot and across the Salisbury Plain. Since commencing construction operations at Warminster just over five years ago, the capital works project team has delivered over £140 million of works. During that time 40 new or refurbished buildings have been delivered and 34 old buildings have been demolished. In this time the project has expended over 1.7 million man hours and has recorded no RIDDOR reportable accidents.
Phil Northfield, Managing Director of ADCW, said, “Over the life of the project there have been many changes in the ADCW team at Warminster and there have been many sub-contractors supporting the programme of works within one of the busiest military garrisons in the country. This is what makes my team’s achievement even more remarkable and demonstrates that we live our Safety First Always value. We are all delighted by and extremely proud of this business milestone.”
