MUJV Limited is a company owned by UK Power Networks Services and Veolia Water which designs and lays all water, wastewater, gas and electricity pipes and cables to the new buildings that Aspire is building for Project Allenby/Connaught.
MUJV Limited is undertaking a planned programme of maintenance on the ‘utilities infrastructure’, and also provides 24 hour emergency callout services where any of these supplies are interrupted.
MUJV Limited will design and construct the utility infrastructure for 29 new messes and dining halls, 74 new offices and technical facilities and 260 new accommodation blocks as well as maintaining and renewing the existing infrastructure over the 35-year contract period.
In excess of 1,000 utility connections comprising electricity, gas, water and wastewater will be provided to the new accommodation and office units serving the needs of approximately 18,700 military and civilian personnel across an area of approximately 800 hectares. The existing electrical assets comprise 236 secondary substations, 35km of 33kv circuits, 250km of high voltage underground cable and 900km of low voltage underground cable. The existing water assets include 500km of water and waste pipes. There are 20km of existing gas assets.
The existing water and wastewater infrastructure comprises 355km of water mains, 295km of foul sewers and 283km of surface water sewers. Existing water mains will be reinforced, sewers improved and new connections made to the 363 buildings that will be constructed.
