This privacy policy sets out how Aspire Defence uses and protects any information that you give Aspire Defence when you use our website.  It applies to all three sites under the domain www.aspiredefence.co.uk – Aspire Defence Limited, Aspire Defence Capital Works and Aspire Defence Services Limited.

Aspire Defence is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Aspire Defence may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page before accessing the site to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 24 May 2018.

What we collect

We may collect personal information from you, for example if you apply for a job and submit your CV to us online.

We may also collect demographic information such as preferences and interests (i.e. pages visited and browsing habits whilst on our website).  We track this activity through Google Analytics to enable us to monitor and improve website performance. Both Google Analytics and our Firewall log IP addresses.

If you are an Aspire employee with administrator access to our website, your activity is monitored to mitigate against any suspicious activity (for example, an attacker trying to gain access to the site using your account).  This requires data to be collected such as username, email, IP address and Internet domain.  We do not collect passwords.

What we do with the information we gather

The information we collect, as described above, is required for recruitment purposes and to evaluate the performance of our website for internal reporting.

Online CV submissions are directed from our website to a specific inbox, which is accessed under password by nominated Aspire Defence employees (Human Resources staff).  CVs are stored in accordance with the General Data Protection Act (GDPR).  A copy of our GDPR Privacy Policy for Candidates is available on request.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs.
