ADSL 2022 Fundraising Year in Review

People and community are at the heart of our business strategy at Aspire Defence Services Limited. We’re proud to raise funds in support of local and international charities and organisations that matter to our people and communities.
As a business, we’re not only committed to delivering excellent service to our customers, but we’re also focused on providing the wider Army community of family and friends with the human and financial support they need to live, work, and thrive.
This year, we continued with our long-standing support of several initiatives, from Armed Forces Day at Tedworth Park to the Early, Early Christmas fair in Tidworth. We also sponsored new sports kit and equipment for the Durrington U13 Stormers and the Bemerton Heath Harlequins FC.
Alongside, our employee led engagement groups “Your Voice” organised several events and activities to raise funds for the charities that are important to us.
From cake sales and sweepstakes, to auctions, bake-offs, and raffle tickets, we raised over £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, the British Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, BBC’s Children in Need, and in aid of the charity projects supported by Comic Relief.
And individually, our colleagues and teammates continued to support the causes that matter to us. In July, three ADSL teams supported MUJV’s efforts to raise funds for the White Horse Care Trust at the annual MUJV Golf Day at Tidworth Garrison Golf Club.
In October, Senior Maintenance Compliance Manager, Robin Slater, organised a walk and raised just over £1,100 for Parkinson’s UK. While Darren Lowe from the TidNBul Maintenance Team did 100 push ups every day for the month of November, to raise £220 for Cancer Research UK.
Lastly, in keeping with the yearly tradition of supporting the community during the holidays, for Christmas Jumper Day we’re asking everyone to make a minimum donation of £2 worth of food (or cash) for the local community foodbank.
It’s been a challenging economic year for everyone, and we’re incredibly proud of how despite the rising cost of living, our people have rallied round to support those that are hardest hit by some of the greatest challenges facing our world today.
As we reflect on the last twelve months of giving back through sponsorships and fundraising initiatives, we are grateful to the incredible teams and individuals, contractors, suppliers, and partners, who support our core values of care and respect for the people and communities that matter to us and without whom we would never be able to achieve such excellent results.
