In ADSL we aim to reduce the impact of our operations on the environment. We monitor and manage energy usage and waste across the garrisons and maintain habitats for bird, animal and plant populations native to the areas in which we work.
Project Allenby/Connaught has a unique opportunity to make significant improvements to the sustainability and environmental performance of the garrisons given the economies of scale, the volume of operational activity, number of stakeholders, and the quantity and sensitivity of the land.
All of the sites are located adjacent to designated ecologically-sensitive areas, areas of outstanding natural beauty or within regions of archaeological significance, such as the Stonehenge World Heritage Site.
A large proportion of the work is delivered by our partners, subcontractors and suppliers. It is important to us that anyone we work with in delivering our services shares our values and our sustainability goals. Working closely with partners and subcontractors we ensure that environmental considerations are a key part of our operations.
We assess the environmental impact of the goods and services we buy and have defined minimum standards, for instance 100% certified sustainable timber.
Aspire Defence is certified to the ISO14001 environmental management system standard.
