RoSPA Gold Awards
For the fourth consecutive year the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has awarded a gold award to Aspire Defence Services Limited at the RosPA Health and Safety Awards 2017.
The RoSPA Awards scheme is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. Judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. The awards are now in their 61st year.
Preparing the submission for the award is a project in itself, requiring the Health, Safety and Environment Team at ADSL to describe and evidence Occupational Health and Safety practice in 20 different sections of a very comprehensive web-based survey designed by RoSPA.
ADSL’s submissions have in past years focused on innovative approaches to health and safety, the ways in which these are supported across the business, ADSL’s employee wellbeing initiatives and health monitoring programmes and the ways in which occupational health and safety information is communicated to ensure it reaches all areas of the business.
Following the win in 2017 Mark Carr, Managing Director, ADSL said: “I am delighted that our focus on health and safety has again been recognised and celebrated at the RoSPA Awards. This fourth consecutive Gold win is a great achievement and I know that everyone in the business contributes to our Gold Standard Occupational Health and Safety practice.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat”.
