After narrowly surviving the last season, the new kits will serve as a huge confidence boost to the team, who have been steadily improving since ADSL Estates Supervisor, Jack Slade joined the coaching staff last year.<\/p>\n
Like most institutions in the country, 2021 had been a tough year for the club. It was at this time that Jack was asked to coach the reserve\/development team, who were at the bottom of the Hampshire combination premier division. The team managed to win 7 of the remaining 10 games and avoided relegation.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the team\u2019s achievement and his long history with the club, Jack enthused,<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a challenge, but one I relished. My father built this club with his friends in 1989. I played my whole career from a child through to First team, but had to retire in 2017\/2018 after an injury, and to better juggle family life. The club will always be close to my heart, it is a young, and talented close-knit group.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following some changes in the current season which included the addition of a few new players to the team, the Bemerton Heath Harlequins are now currently top of the Hampshire combination premier division.<\/p>\n
The new tracksuits, training kit and equipment will help the young team become a more professional outfit, particularly now that they are regularly getting opportunities to play at a higher level.<\/p>\n
