The highly anticipated Pride of Andover Awards has returned for 2021

The Pride of Andover Awards exists to shed light on the town’s unsung heroes – It’s been celebrating those who quietly make a difference to other people’s lives since 2007 promoting a sense of pride in our unique Hampshire town.

We, at Aspire Defence have sponsored this event since 2017 and as a many of our employees are local residents, so we are really passionate about these Awards. So far there has been a Pride of Andover award given to more than 100 local people.

It a great way to encourage everyone to look around them and think about nominating someone who deserves recognition, as sometimes an ordinary thank you is not enough.

This year, as in the past Aspire Defence are sponsoring the Inspiring others award, which recognises an individual who, through the exceptional nature of their actions whilst living or working within the local community, has inspired others to overcome barriers to their own achievement.

Judging takes place on 11^th September and I know we are looking forward to hearing more about the incredible and inspiring stories that celebrate our local, unsung heroes and the extraordinary contribution they have made in our community.

The nominations from 2020’s postponed awards will also be included in this year’s judging alongside 2021 applications, so this year is set to be greater than ever.

This is our chance to say ‘thank you’ from everyone living or working in Andover and the surrounding villages to those people who make such a big difference to so many lives.
