Aspire Defence Capital Works go “above and beyond” in delivering excellent customer service
The Aspire Defence Capital Works team responsible for improving Bulford’s Health Centre has been praised by the Army for going “above and beyond” to deliver excellent customer service and a smooth handover of the building on completion of their first phase of works.
ADCW began works at the Health Centre in August 2017 and have completed a 2-storey extension to provide new medical consulting rooms, administration on the ground floor and audio and run up rooms on the first floor. Externally, additional parking has been provided and hard landscaping completed to provide better access.
These improvements support the requirement for increased healthcare provision, as more military families prepare to move to Salisbury Plain Training Area in 2019 under the Army Basing Programme.
Practice Manager SSgt Gemma Conley commended ADCW and Brymor for their professionalism, safe working practices and respectful engagement with staff and patients when accessing clinical areas during construction. The team informed medical staff of noise levels and vibrations that might interfere with audio testing, and liaised closely with the duty medic to ensure the security of the building at all times.
SSgt Conley said:
“Before work commenced we were all very apprehensive as to how we could provide an effective, safe service to our patients and staff whilst under construction. From early on we developed a great rapport with ADCW, who went above and beyond to ensure that we were able to obtain partial occupancy in time for our public opening in early September.
“Since taking over occupancy there have been a few snags (which is expected) and these have been dealt with immediately with minimum fuss and disruption. I am not convinced that things would have gone as smoothly and professionally if another company were employed to carry out this contract. Keep up the good work and I will look forward to continuing the good rapport during the second phase.”
ADCW will continue work on site to finish the second phase of works, which involves internal reconfiguration and renovation of rooms within the existing medical facility. The ‘new and improved’ Bulford Health Centre is due to complete in November 2018.
