Operated in partnership with Wiltshire Council and Army Library Services, ADSL maintains several sporting facilities within Tidworth Leisure Centre.

Indoor sporting facilities at the Leisure Centre include the sports hall, fitness studio, one 6-lane, 25-metre swimming pool, two hard tennis courts, and four squash courts.

Wiltshire Council staff provide a complete service at Tidworth Leisure Centre seven days a week: from 07.00 – 21.00 during the weekdays, and 08.00 – 16.00 during the weekends, catering to both the Garrison and local community. To make a booking, please call: 01980 847140 or click here.

While the Leisure Centre bookings and activities are managed by Wiltshire Council, the outdoor facilities, sports pitches, and Garrison Theatre are managed by ADSL. The team also handle bookings by Service Personnel and civilian renting/licensing of the sporting venues for events.

Tidworth Oval

The athletics and football stadium, complete with flood lighting and a PA system, has been licensed by UK Athletics as a suitable venue for championship events. It is available for civilians to book outside military core hours from 08.00 – 17.00.

Tidworth Cricket Ground

Cricket enthusiasts can enjoy the all-grass cricket ground and pavilion, designed to county-class standard. Additionally, artificial cricket grounds at Tidworth, Bulford and Perham Down are available for rent outside of core military hours (08.00 – 17.00).

Tidworth Floodlit Astroturf Pitch

Available throughout the year for hockey and five-a-side football, the floodlit astroturf pitch ensures your sporting activities continue day or night. This pitch can be booked by civilians outside of core military hours (08.00 – 17.00).

Bulford Swimming Pool

Located on Kashmir Road, Bulford Camp’s four-lane, 25-metre pool is strictly for military use from 07.00 – 16.30, Monday to Friday. For dependents of military personnel, Families’ Swim is available on Fridays from 14.45 – 15.30 and 15.45 – 16.30. Outside these hours, there is no public swimming allowed but the pool may be available to book for qualified swimming clubs.

Football and Rugby

We offer various football and rugby pitches for hire throughout the year at Tidworth, Bulford and Perham Down, providing ample opportunities for sporting activities:

Tidworth:

In Tidworth, you’ll find one grass football pitch and one 3G football pitch available for hire all year round, with an additional grass pitch available from October to February. Additionally, there is one grass rugby pitch available for hire throughout the year, with an additional pitch available from October to February.

Bulford:

For football enthusiasts in Bulford, there is one grass pitch and two 3G pitches available for hire throughout the year.

Perham Down:

At Perham Down, both football and rugby enthusiasts can use the grass pitches throughout the year.

Tidworth Garrison Theatre:

The Tidworth Garrison Theatre, situated on St Andrews Road, offers seating for up to 700 guests in tiered arrangements, providing an excellent venue for various events. The theatre also boasts five conference rooms, each with capacity for 10 people, but can be combined into a larger space accommodating up to 40 guests in a Boardroom layout or up to 90 attendees in a theatre-style layout.

Sodexo can arrange lunches and hospitality services upon request, but it is essential to provide them with two-weeks prior notice. Please note that there are no facilities for food preparation within the venue. However, if needed, access to a small kitchen for refreshments can be provided.

The theatre accepts bookings from non-military customers as well. However, social events like sporting events and Mess functions are not eligible for reservation at the theatre.
