Celebrating Excellence: Our 11th RoSPA President’s Award

As a business that values safety above all else, we are thrilled to share the news that we have been honoured with the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) President’s Award.  This is our 11th consecutive Gold Award and recognises our outstanding health and safety performance throughout the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. This accolade serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication to excellence by upholding the highest standards of health and safety within our organisation.

The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, sponsored by Croner-i, stand as a globally recognised symbol of accomplishment in safety and quality. These awards serve to acknowledge the efforts of organisations, teams, and projects from various sectors that prioritise the protection of lives above all else. By receiving a RoSPA Award, entities not only gain acknowledgement for their achievements but also become part of a prestigious legacy that values a commitment to maintaining superior safety standards and promoting the well-being of individuals.

Julia Small, the Achievements Director at RoSPA, emphasised the importance of recognising exceptional safety performance in the workplace: “Workplace accidents don’t just pose financial risks and operational disruptions; they significantly impact the quality of life for individuals. This is why acknowledging and rewarding excellent safety performance is vital. We congratulate Aspire Defence Services Limited for winning a prestigious RoSPA Award and showing an unwavering commitment to keeping employees, clients, and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”

Alan McDonald, our Head of Health & Safety, proudly accepted the award at the RoSPA Awards Ceremony held in London on 14 May. The ceremony not only celebrated our commitment to safety, but also serves to motivate businesses to strive for excellence in health and safety and prioritise the protection of lives and the prevention of accidents.

Moving forward, we will continue our commitment to Zero Harm 24/7 and our dedication to our core value ‘Safety First’, as well as promoting our various safety initiatives such as Courage to Care and Stop Work Authority, to ensure our employees feel empowered to stand up for safety. In addition, we are inspired to continue raising the bar, setting new benchmarks, and striving for continuous improvement in all aspects of our operations. This award serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a strong safety culture within our organisation and reinforces our determination to always prioritise the well-being of our employees and stakeholders.
