Communities, Service and Shared Pride: ADSL Celebrates Armed Forces Day in Aldershot

Thousands of people gathered in Aldershot on 27 and 28 June for the National Armed Forces Day event, bringing together serving personnel, veterans, military families and the local community for a celebration dedicated to recognising the people behind the UK’s Armed Forces.

As a Platinum Sponsor, Aspire Defence Services Limited (ADSL) was proud to exhibit alongside its parent company KBR in support of an event that placed the military community front and centre. Throughout the day, thousands of visitors had the opportunity to meet representatives from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force, gaining a greater understanding of military life and the diverse roles that support the Armed Forces.

For many attendees, the event offered a chance to look beyond the uniform and hear personal stories from those who serve. Visitors explored interactive displays, watched demonstrations and engaged with businesses dedicated to supporting the military community. These conversations helped build understanding between the Armed Forces and the public, giving people a clearer insight into military life and the support networks behind it.

At the ADSL stand, visitors stopped to learn more about the work taking place behind the scenes to support soldiers across Salisbury Plain and Aldershot. From maintaining single living accommodation and working environments to managing facilities and delivering infrastructure projects, ADSL showed how its work helps keep the sites soldiers use every day safe, functional and ready to support military life.

The event also served as a reminder of the people at the heart of ADSL’s work. Every project completed, facility maintained and service delivered ultimately contributes to the experience of soldiers across the sites ADSL supports.

ADSL would like to thank everyone who visited the stand and took the time to speak with the team. Armed Forces Day remains an important opportunity to recognise service, strengthen connections and celebrate the people and communities that help support military life every day.
