Community hall gets funding boost

A donation of over £3000 in corporate sponsorship by ADL has made a big difference to a local community.

The funding, granted in 2018 and 2019, has enabled the complete repainting of Phoenix Hall in Netheravon and kick-started the next stage of the building’s development.

ADL staff visited the Hall in July to meet local residents and see the finished results.

Charles Coslett, Chair of the Hall Management Committee, said:

“Aspire Defence’s support has been very welcome indeed. The money donated would likely have taken us over a year to raise through many fundraising events. We now have a well-equipped and welcoming, bright facility for the community. Thank you.”

Netheravon village has historical and continuing links with the military, and Phoenix Hall remains a vital and popular community space. Many pupils attending the neighbouring primary school come from Service families.

Allan Thomson, Chief Executive of ADL, said:

“We were delighted to help out with this project to regenerate Phoenix Hall. It was a great opportunity for our business to do something positive to benefit Army and civilian families living within the PAC footprint.”
