Nominations for Women in Defence UK Awards 2019 now open!
We are once again hugely proud to be key sponsors of the Women in Defence UK Awards.
Aspire Defence has been involved in Women in Defence UK since its inaugural ceremony in 2016. Its mission is to promote brilliance and showcase the very best of women working in defence of the nation.
Each year we back the Most Collaborative Award, where winners need to demonstrate that creating a collaborative working arrangement within their organisation or working with another one has created a positive impact. Project Allenby/Connaught is built on effective working partnerships, so it’s a category that closely reflect our own values and success.
Over the last three years WiD UK Awards have received more than 900 nominations – that’s more than 300 stand-out women, men and teams a year. And this year’s awards are set to be the biggest yet.
Angela Owen, Founder of Women in Defence UK explains:
“Anyone can nominate someone for a Women in Defence UK Award; if you know someone you admire, who motivates you, whose story should be told or who you believe should be recognised and celebrated, please nominate them. You can nominate your friend, your commanding officer, your boss, your team, your assistant, your co-worker; anyone working in defence of the nation.”
The awards are open to women, men and teams from all levels across the defence enterprise and are a great way to recognise and promote the brilliance of individuals working in defence of the nation.
There are 10 categories and nominations are open until 10 May. If you know an outstanding individual in defence, nominate them today! https://www.womenindefenceuk.com/awards-2019
