Aspire-sponsored ABF Fair raises record funds for soldiers
This year’s Early Early Christmas Fair was another great success for ABF – the Soldier’s Charity, once again raising significant funds for soldiers, veterans and their families.
The event, which is sponsored by Aspire Defence Limited and Aspire Defence Services Limited, raised around £37,000, which will make a huge difference to the charity’s beneficiaries.
Held at Tedworth House in Tidworth on 26 and 27 September, the Fair boasted an array of unusual stalls, wit delicious lunches and teas on offer and a new edition for 2017: Marc Allum and Lisa Lloyd from the Antiques Roadshow offering free valuations. They reported some incredible pieces that would stand out at any real roadshow.
Fair organiser Caroline Cary said:
“I would just like to say thank you to everyone who came and supported this event – to our dedicated volunteers, all the shoppers, stallholders, our two wonderful Chelsea Pensioners and to everyone involved, without whom this could never take place with the success it currently enjoys. In particular, I would like to thank our long term sponsors, General Dynamics and Aspire Defence, together with Knight Frank and, new this year, Sodexo, who sponsored the champagne reception, all of whose notable generosity make it all possible.”
