Awards celebrate local unsung heroes

Former soldier takes home the ‘Inspiring Others’ Award, sponsored by Aspire Defence Limited

The annual Pride of Andover Awards is a truly humbling event, featuring incredible and inspiring stories that celebrate local, unsung heroes.

We’ve sponsored this event since 2017 and this year, we were delighted to see former soldier and star of Channel 4’s ‘Hunted’ voted winner of our own sponsor category – the ‘Inspiring Others’ Award.

Jordan is a former soldier (who used to be based on ‘our patch’ in Tidworth), a best-selling author and an extreme adventurer, with a passion for helping others, particularly children in conflict zones worldwide. He received the Award in recognition of his outstanding fundraising efforts, which have so far generated a million pounds for charity. He was also voted overall winner on the night and took home the Spirit of Andover Award 2019.
