Finding and celebrating South Wiltshire’s everyday local heroes

We’re delighted to be sponsoring the South Wiltshire Heroes Awards this year and in particular the Every Day Hero – Key Worker Award.

This is an enormously significant award, with individuals from across the South Wilts area having the opportunity to recognise those people we have had an impact and have a chance to celebrate their own local heroes.

That’s why the Salisbury Journal and Living Magazine will be honouring them through the South Wilts Hero Awards. Ordinary people in all walks of life have had to face incredible challenges in the past year, we all know people who – even if it’s not their day job – have stepped up to help others and these awards to make sure the person gets some recognition, no matter how big or small the good deed is.

Nominated by the readers, Nomination forms for all categories that reach into every corner of the community from Volunteers, Teachers, Neighbours, Pastrol, Healthcare, Emergency Service and key workers can be found on the Salisbury Journal website and close on the 19th of April.

The 2021 awards event will be broadcast on Tuesday 8th June 2021 at 7pm, and there could be no better choice than Simon Weston CBE to present the awards, having shown amazing courage since the Falklands War.
