Women in Defence UK Awards 2018 – shortlist announced

After weeks of deliberation by distinguished judges, Women in Defence UK have announced the 52 individuals and eight teams who have been selected as shortlisted nominees for the Women in Defence UK Awards 2018.
Women in Defence UK received over 300 nominations this year from across the Defence community including the Armed Forces, MOD Civil Service, GCHQ, MI5, SIS, defence industry and the defence 3rd sector. The judges had an incredibly difficult task choosing those to be shortlisted, an indication of the extraordinary talent and achievements of the women, men and teams who work in the defence of the nation.

Angela Owen, Founder of Women in Defence UK, said:
“Our shortlists are always ‘special’. I hoped we would have an extra special shortlist during this year of the centenary of suffrage – and we have. They represent the very best of the women, men and teams who work in defence of the nation”
Shortlisted nominees will celebrate their achievement at a networking event on Wednesday 26 September 2018.
